so, as john and i reintroduce foods one food group at a time, i decided that i wanted to set a tone for eating healthier, better, different. so, of course, off to barnes and noble i went.
i purchased 7 new cookbooks (yes, books as in, to teach oneself to cook. for as many of you know, this is a foreign concept to me. john is the cook in the family. but i feared he would not set the stage for renewed health when it's so easy to fall into old patterns. i'm completely just as guilty. so i thought the books would help guide me). so far so good.
i purchased:
-The Market Fresh Cookbook
-Whole Grains for Busy People
-The Everything Stri-Fry Cookbook
-Japanese Homestyle Dishes
-The Everything Mediterranean Cookbook
-Healthy Latin Cooking
-Indian Home Cooking
last week we continued to juice all throughout the day but each evening had a dinner from one of the books that reintroduced a new food group. it was lovely! the weeks of juicing introduced new veggies to us that we had never met before and this is now introducing us to ingredients that we've never had before.
it's a whole new nutritional experience and who knew, i can cook =)
