i almost didn't post this b/c i feel like i am the reaper of doom and gloom; but, we need prayers.

on thursday night john said to me, "i think i may have a clot in my other leg too". seems he's been having pain in that leg that is similar to the way the other leg started out. on friday night his 'good' leg swelled up, like the other leg did. so he called the on call doc and was told to go to outpatient in the morning for an ultra sound of his good leg. he went at 7:30 saturday a.m. (they open at 7) and told them why he was there and they let him sit there for an hour before anyone bothered to mention that there is no ultra sound tech scheduled for weekends so no one can see him until monday. good GRIEF! so he came back home.

the rest of the weekend has been ok. he's in good spirits and up and around but i notice he's resting his leg more often too. the swelling is down a bit though the entire 'good' leg is very squishy all of a sudden. he plans to call his doc in the morning.

so, i guess now we need prayers that there is not yet another blood clot in his body.
it's all just unbelieveable. we'll keep you posted.
