yes i know, i did not blog yesterday. i guess no news is good news. (that, or you could assume he was wisked back to the hospital and i did not have time to post but hey, we're going to think glass-half-full scenerios).

so yesterday and today both went relatively well. he did pay a price on sunday for the amount of up and about he did on sat (scooter or no scooter, ...that leg still needs to be kept elevated and horizontal) but overall he is ok.

went to the doc today for the normal monday blood draw. everyone seems to know us now. that is a bit odd feeling. he has to get the blood taken and then each time we have to wait for the results b/c they could require a change in med levels. today was ok so no changes. his chemo and blood thinner remain the same. his steroids have been dropped 10 more mg. and insulin remains as needed. still on potassium pills, antibiotics, and his usual heart meds. there were dots on his leg that were vasculitis-looking but doc states they are related to the blood clot. they do seem to be staying on only that leg so we are hoping the doc is correct. back for a doc apt on friday of this week.

so thursday brings the first day of spring, and i saw a robin today. what seems like a million years ago they said, regarding his health, to expect "significant improvement in the spring". we are remining hopeful. thursday can't get here soon enough. bring on the robins.
