a song bird.
it was a reminder of better times and a hope for times to come.
john is doing well, mostly. he is working to build the business back up. while that is good news, it also poses some challenges. the hardest being, until he gets new staff hired and trained, ... new RELIABLE staff, he is working almost around the clock. (his business that he is now rebuilding after having lost it last year due to the illness is Mint Care, elderly companion services. www.mintcare.com). The vasculitis teases and taunts to return as he goes sleepless nights caring for others and spends whole 48 hour stretches on his feet. he needs rest and to raise his legs for periods of time and with this schedule he simply cannot do that. he says it feels good to work again, to contribute to the family this way again, and i get that. he also gets that he is jeopardizing the progress that he's made if he continues on this path much longer (it's been about 6 weeks now).
so, for my specific prayers out there, ... please pray that john finds new, quality, RELIABLE (man o man people call off with little to no notice a lot) staff sooner rather than later and that in the meantime his body and mind can withstand the physical and mental demands that fatigue, exhaustion and over exertion can create. pray that the vasculits stays at bay while he seeks out new staff.
that is our prayer.
thanks for still caring.
