we made it through the weekend with no step diagnosis for any townson at all. praise be!

john is still fever free and doing pretty well. maybe he can come home tomorrow. we'll see. his glucose is still really high and his leg is still in a lot of pain even when he isn't on it, but at least the fever is down.

since he's in his own room now and the fever is gone i was able to take the kids to see him. we brought dinner and got to spend about 2 hours with him. it was very nice.

who would have thought something as simple as dinner with each other would in a hospital room be what defines the weekend as a victory. this entire experience has taught me to reprioritize. our glass is more than half full. we are so blessed.
