we are off to PA this weekend to see the doctor with the equipment necessary to do the "live analysis" of john's blood. he cannot eat after 11pm on friday and his appt is not until 3pm on sat (we are very blessed that she is agreeing to see us on a weekend). we will stay with his sister (the one we were just at for thanksgiving, ...a 4 hour drive) and then head back sat night after the appointment.
do i hold out hope? i try. i do. i just don't know what to expect of this. it's somewhat nontraditional in that (ironically) it's one of the most traditional (aka: old) tests that can be run on a person's blood but it's so old that modern technology usually skips right over it and doesn't bother with it; but it may show us something that all the new technology missed. she seems to be a more wholistic doctor. or something. i just don't know.
we shall see...
