john's doc appt yesterday was good. his blood levels are where they are supposed to be and the doc ordered another decrease in the steroids (which always freaks me out) starting today. hopefully all will continue to be well.
that having been said, john seems to think that things are going a bit more "well" than they really are. you know that saying, "your eyes are bigger than your stomach", well, john's got that mentality when it comes to health right now. he thinks he can bite off hours of activity and not get his fill. wrong. mid way through he realizes his error and ends up back on the couch with an elevated swollen leg. at his doc appt he asked if he could join a soft ball team!? HUH?! even the doc didn't see that one comin'. "uhh, no you are not joining a softball team right now. see me again in the summer." (which, btw, is exactly what i had told john, but aparently he needed to hear it from a medial professional for it to be valid. humph). the doc did approve john returning to work with his clients on an 'as tolerated' basis so john is planning on trying to slip back into a routine with work slowly.
i understand that he is sick and tired of being sick and tired. i get it. but COME ON, ...a softball team?! geesh.
