3.1.08

It's a hard day today. Not terrible; but not as good as usual.

The vasculitis seems to be creeping up agian. So far no 'rash' (ruptured blood vessels) but the pain seems to be increasing. John hasn't considered taking his pain meds for over a week but today he said he thinks he may need to. He fights it though b/c it makes him fuzzy in the head. He is having a hard time walking. The pain that's lingered this week has been minor and primarily in his feet. Today it's stronger and all the way up to his hips.

Usually when he decreases his steroids his vasculitis gets so bad within 72 hours that we end up back in the hospital. We held our breath this time b/c we were told that the decrease shouldn't have as negative an impact now that he's on the chemo as well. We made it 4 days and all was well so we started beleiving that maybe that would be the case, ...and now we're holding our breath again.

Additionally, he is having a nose bleed again as I speak. Ugh.

We do not know what to expect... please pray for his wellness to hold steady. He's made such progress this past week. I'd hate for him to lose ground.
Thank you,
k
